Rícany
Mesto Rícany, vzdálené približne 20 km jihovýchodne od Prahy, se rozložilo v mírne zvlnené, zalesnené krajine. Je místem k príjemnému bydlení a zaujme rovnež svou bohatou historií. Podle Hájkovy kroniky se první zmínka o Rícanech vztahuje k roku 748, kdy byla svedena bitva o rícanský dvur.
Mezi neprehlédnutelné architektonické památky patrí zrícenina kdysi honosného hradu z doby posledních Premyslovcu, pozdeji obsazeného husity. Na námestí, jehož pudorys je pro svou vzácnou ranne gotickou parcelaci predmetem památkové ochrany, najdeme kostel sv. Petra a Pavla. Klenby nenápadné kaple v jeho interiéru zdobí fresky z doby kolem r. 1400. Nedaleko objevíme Mariánský sloup z roku 1699. Zámku se podobá Olivovna, založena v roce 1890 manželi Olivovými jako vychovatelna pro zanedbané a opuštené deti. Dnes slouží jako detská lécebna respiracních chorob.
Mesto poznamenal úpadek po tricetileté válce a naopak rozkvet po vybudování c.k. dráhy Praha - Víden v roce 1869. V té dobe se zde zacaly stavet luxusní vily a Rícany se staly vyhledávanou rekreacní lokalitou.

Ricany is situated about 20 km to the south-east of Prague in undulated and wooded countryside. The town is a calm and peaceful place in which to live, and its history is most interesting. The first mention of Rícany (according to Hájek's Chronicle) is from 748, when the battle of the Rícany dominion took place.
The ruins of the old Rícany castle, dating back to the period of the last Premyslid dynasty, are an architectural sight that one should not miss. Later the castle was occupied by the Husites. In the town square we find the Church of St. Peter and Paul. The square was laid out in early Gothic style, and for this reason it is a listed area. The chapel is decorated by frescoes from around the year 1400. Not far from here we find the Marian Column built in 1699. The castle like building 'Olivovna' was established in 1890 by Mr. and Mrs. Oliva and it served as a home for deprived and neglected children. Today it is a medical institution for children with respiratory problems.
The town experienced social and cultural decline after the 30 Years War but, on the other hand, experienced positive growth when the railway between Prague and Vienna was built in 1869. During this time many luxurious mansions were built and Rícany became an ideal and preferred place for relaxation.

Nejstarší dochovanou budovou v Rícanech je dum c. p. 44 v ulici 17. listopadu (N 49° 59.553 E 014° 39.455). Dum, nazývaný po jednom z prvních majitelu "U Cechu", byl postaven roku 1706 na obecním pozemku jako budova mýta. Budova bývalého rícanského mýta byla v nedávné dobe zrekonstruována a moderne upravena. Roh strechy podpírá C.

Roku 1864 uprostred námestí postavena reprezentacní dvoupatrová budova, dnes nazývaná stará radnice (N 49° 59.509 E 014° 39.402). S ní tesne sousedí bývalá budova soudu. Ve staré radnici najdete napríklad Informacní centrum. Nás ale zajímá sousední zelená budova. V ní je v soucasnosti D.

Naucná stezka "Rícansko" seznamuje návštevníky mesta Rícany s nekterými jeho pametihodnostmi a s prírodou v jeho nejbližším okolí. Nenárocnou vycházku, dlouhou necelých E km, zvládnou i méne zdatní turisté. První stanovište je v centru Rícan, u staré radnice na Masarykove námestí. Stezka zpocátku prochází mestem, pak okolními lesy a nakonec se obloukem vrací zpátky do Rícan ke koupališti Jurecek.
Zlacená socha Panny Marie Immaculaty uprostred Masarykova námestí (N 49° 59.512 E 014° 39.325) ) shlíží s vrcholu sloupu na kamenném soklu, chráneném masivním kamenným zábradlím. Panna Maria má sepjaté ruce, kolem hlavy svatozár s F hvezdickami a stojí na zemekouli obtocené hadem s jablkem v tlamicce. Socha z r. 1699 je zjednodušenou variantou mariánského sloupu, který stával na pražském Staromestském námestí.
Rane gotický hrad (N 49° 59.497 E 014° 39.114) dal v letech 1260-1270 vystavet Ondrej ze Všechrom, nejvyšší komorník krále Premysla Otakara II. a zakladatel rodu pánu z Rícan. Erb pánu z Rícan predstavovaly G bílé leknínové listy spojené stonky uprostred cerveného štítu. Stejné listy, položené mezi dve cervená krídla, sloužily i jako klenot nekolika rodových linií. Štít se G leknínovými listy je dodnes znakem mesta Ledec nad Sázavou jako památka na nekdejší pány Ledecské z Rícan. Starší provedení erbu mužete najít na píseckém hrade a v kostele v Dolních Jircanech.
Pocátkem 15.století sídlil na rícanském hrade katolický šlechtic Diviš z Rícan, stoupenec ceských králu i císare Zikmunda a aktivní protivník husitu. V listopadu r.1420, nekolik mesícu po bitve na Vítkove, vytáhla vojska pražanu a táboritu vedená Janem Žižkou k Rícanum a Diviše na jeho hrade obléhala. Diviš nakonec kapituloval. Podmínky kapitulace si však sjednal pouze s pražany, a tak byl pri odchodu z hradu spolu s rodinou a posádkou tábority zajat a uveznen. H katolických kneží, kterým poskytoval azyl, bylo na príkaz Jana Žižky okamžite upáleno v nedaleké selské jizbe. Hrad husité neznicili, ale obsadili vlastní posádkou. Ten pak zustal v majetku pražanu do roku 1485. Najděte H dvojciferné.
Na souradnicích N 49° 59.397 E 014° 39.387 najdeme rugbyové hrište. Rícanští rugbisté jsou v posledních letech velmi úspešní. V letech 2001-2008 byly I krát mistry republiky.

Ve středu 2.9.2020 kolem 21 hod skautská klubovna vyhořela. Byla postavena před 50 lety tehdejší generací říčanských skautů. Stalo se tak pouhé dva dny před prvními schůzkami světlušek a skautek, kterými měla být po půlroční nedobrovolné pauze naše činnost obnovena. Požár vznikl zřejmě cizím zaviněním na vnější straně klubovny. Na místě vyroste nová chata. Do doby, než se tak stane, J = 1.

The Toll House (N 49° 59.553 E 014° 39.455), building number 44 in the 17. listopadu street is the oldest building in Rícany. It was named after one of its first inhabitants "U Cechu", and was built in the 1706. The building was recently reconstructed and modernized. C supports the edge of the roof.

In the 1864 the state two-storey building was constructed in the centre of the square (N 49° 59.509 E 014° 39.402). Today it is called the Old Town Hall. Right next to it is the former court building. There is for example the Information Centre in the Old Town Hall. We want to know what is in the abutting green building. Now there is D.

The educational Rícany trail introduces visitors to the town and to the surrounding environment. The trail is E km long and is suitable for even the less sturdy tourist and for children. It starts in the town centre, at the Old Town Hall on Masaryk square. The trail follows a semi-circular path via field and forest tracks returning to the Jurecek bathing area.
In the middle of Masaryk Square (N 49° 59.512 E 014° 39.325) stands the gilt statue of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, it is situated on a stone pedestal and guarded by a large stone banister. The virgin's hands are folded together and she has a crown with F stars above her head. The statue stands on a globe with a snake with an apple in its mouth wrapped around it. The statue from 1699 is a simplified variant of the Marian Column which stands in the centre of Prague in Staromestske namesti.
An early Gothic castle (N 49° 59.497 E 014° 39.114) was built between the years of 1260 - 1270 by one of the founders of the Rícany clan, Ondrej from Všechromy, chief valet to the king Premysl Otakar II. The coat-of-arms of the Lords of Rícany consisted in G white water lily leaves linked by their stems in the middle of a red shield. The same leaves put between two red wings served also as a family jewel of several family descents. Up to the present day, the shield with G white water lily leaves has served as the coat-of-arms of the town Ledec nad Sázavou remembering former Lords Ledectí of Rícany. An older execution of this coat-of-arms can be found in the Castle of Písek and in the church at Dolní Jircany.
In the early 15th century, the Castle of Rícany served as the seat of a catholic aristocrat Dionysius of Rícany, supporter of kings of Bohemia as well as the Emperor Sigismond and an active adversary of Hussites. In November 1420, several months after the battle of Vítkov, the troops of Praguers and Taborites under the command of Jan Žižka took the field against Rícany and besieged Dionysius in his castle. Finally, Dionysius capitulated. Having negotiated the conditions of his capitulation only with Praguers, he was captured by Taborites, when he was leaving castle together with his family, and arrested. By order of Jan Žižka, H catholic priests, to whom he had granted asylum, were immediately burnt to death in a near-by peasant cottage. Hussites didn't destroy the castle, but occupied it by their proper garrison. The castle remained in possession of Praguers till 1485. Find H of two digits.</</p>

On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, around 9 pm, the scout clubhouse burned down. It was built 50 years ago by the then generation of scouts from Říčany. It happened just two days before the first meetings of the Girl Scouts, which were to resume our activities after a six-month involuntary break. A new cottage will be built on the site. Until that happens, J = 1.
