This cache was placed to appreciate the iron sculpture of the parkway man. It is situated just off Sheffield Parkway in Bowden Houstead wood
The cache was placed so you would be able to see this Iron Giant up close.I'm sure many of the commuters to Sheffield City centre see him every day but never stop to fully appreciate him. A large cast iron man stripped to the waist and carrying a sledgehammer .He weighs 3 tonnes and is 3 metres high. The cache box is not located directly by the sculpture as this is a very busy area...you will have to cross the bridge to get the cache.Parking is at Richmond Park Crescent at the following co-ords N53 22.421 W001 24.046. The box is a clip tight container with the usual swaps for the kids,FTF badge and a coin.
