Pluck Your Magic Twanger Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Arthur TOAFK: Alas, the last of the four frogs I had prepared for this cache has disappeared, and without a Froggie, the cache loses its cachet. Thanks to all those who enjoyed the cache and especially those who actually understood the name.

Geocache Description:

New Cache container! This cache is located along the new Missouri Research Park Trail connector, a ¾-mile paved hiking/biking trail from a small parking lot to the Katy Trail in Weldon Springs. The cache has room for a log only. Please bring your own pen or pencil.

This is the fourth and final replacement of the cache container.
I am flat out of this style container. If it goes missing again, it will be archived. More geoflauge has been added. Please re-hide as well if not better than you found it.

The trail is a relatively flat walk from parking to the Katy trail, towards the Missouri River. About this point, the small creek that meanders with the trail receives its regular flow; above this point, it’s a wet weather creek. I don’t know if it has a name (I’ve given it one of my own, which you really don’t want to know). However, the water released appears to be acceptable to critters in the area, such as this little hidden one.

So, enjoy the trail and your brief sojourn here for the finding of this cache. You may encounter other common fauna and flora, including turtles and wood ducks (watch for nesting boxes along the trail). I saw a doe while scoping out cache hides a bit further down the trail.

Thanks to the staff at the Missouri Research Park for examining our proposal for caches along the trail and granting permission. Please remember that you are their guest, practice CITO, and report any problems or issues you may encounter to the proper authority, or to me, as the cache owner, and I will relay the information.

Parking for trail hiking, biking and geocaching is at the waypoint listed below.
