Geocache Description:

Straightforward cache located just outside the grounds of the church of St Vigor in the village of Stratton-on-the-Fosse.

The parish church of St Vigor, Stratton-on-the-Fosse is one of only two churches in the UK dedicated to this 6th century French bishop and missionary, famed for taming a dragon (the other one is in Cambridgeshire). The grade I listed building dates from the 12th century, though it has been extensively added to and restored over the centuries. In the porch there is a continuous list of Rectors since 1255.

As its name suggests, the village of Stratton-on-the-Fosse lies on the Roman Fosse Way, which runs (as the A367) dead straight through the village. Stratton was the first village in the UK to have traffic calming measures installed, apparently using a design similar to that used by the Romans to slow speeding chariots!

The road outside the church is a bit narrow for parking; on-street parking is available on the main road nearby.
You are looking for a camo bag containing a cliptop container. Please replace the lid firmly & hide back as found.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
