One of a series of caches which can easily be done in a days drive around Loch Ness - total distance of approximately 75 miles. The drive is best done in an anticlockwise direction, using the A82 from Inverness to Fort Augustus and the B862/B852 from Fort Augustus to Inverness - this is the best direction to travel for easy parking. All the caches are a short distance from the available parking, unless otherwise stated.

The huge water filled channel that is Loch Ness actually extends out into the North Sea but is blocked between Lochend and Inverness by glacial deposits. To find out more go here.
If travelling in the recommended direction turn off left from the A82 just before the turnoff for Lochend village itself. The road is narrow and a bit rough in places. You will reach a gate where there is enough parking for two or three cars. Please do not block the gate.
