Ein Architektur-Cache der Auseinandersetzung mit Architekten und den Gestaltungselementen des Jugendstil bedeutet. Es ist vor der Feldarbeit Frage zu beantworten! An architecture-cache of Art Nuveau. Before outdoor action there is one prior task to be solved.
Brunn am Gebirge darf sich glücklich schätzen, ein besonderes Juwel der Jugendstilarchitektur zu besitzen. Ab dem Jahre 1902 baute Architekt Sepp Hubatsch (1873 – 1935) in Brunn, an der Grenze zu Maria Enzersdorf, eine bemerkenswerte Reihenhauszeile, bestehend aus zehn Objekten, jeweils für zwei Familien ausgelegt.
Sepp Hubatsch stammte aus Siebenbürgen, besuchte die Staatsgewerbeschule in Wien und studierte anschließend die Meisterklasse eines großen Wiener Architekten des Jugendstils.
Dieser Architekt wurde am 13.7.1841 in Wien-Penzing geboren und starb am 11.4.1918 an Rotlauf ebenfalls in Wien – finde seinen vollen Namen – er wird zu Berechnungen gebraucht. Wer total sicher gehen will: der Gesuchte ist am Hietzinger Friedhof (Gruppe 13, Grab 131) bestattet.
Mit ihm verband Sepp Hubatsch eine lebenslange Freundschaft.
Im Jahre 1901 heiratete er eine wohlhabende Maria Enzersdorferin, die ihm 7 Kinder schenkte. Zu seinem Wohnhaus in Maria Enzersdorf gehörten Weinbaugebiete, die bis nach Brunn am Gebirge reichten. Auf einem dieser Grundstücke finanzierte und baute er eine geschlossene Häuserzeile von zehn Reihenhäusern.
Die Fassaden zeigen großen Formenreichtum, jede Hausfront kann als individuelles Kunstwerk gelten: Balkone oder Erker von spielerischer Leichtigkeit, dekorative Motive des Baumes um Fenster und die ganze Hausfront, Goldauflagen und goldene Spruchbänder, florale Ornamente und figürliche Darstellungen von Engeln.
Beachtenswert sind auch die kunsthandwerklich besonders schön ausgeführten Eingangstore, die wie die Häuserfronten das reiche Repertoir der secessionistischen Formensprache widerspiegeln. 1967 wurde diese Wohnhausanlage unter Denkmalschutz gestellt.
Nun geht es an den Cache:
• Erst zähle die Buchstaben des zweiten Vornamens jenes Architekten, des Lehrers und Freundes von Sepp Hubatsch. Die Zahl steht für „A“ in der Formel.
Die Headerkoordinaten führen dich zur Jugendstil-Reihenhauszeile. Um zum Cache zu kommen sind noch einige Details an den Fassaden zu ermitteln:
• Am Haus Nr.4 befindet sich unter dem Dachvorsprung ein Spruch - setze das letzte Wort mittels Handy in Zahlen um und bilde die Summe. Der Wert ist „B“.
• Wie viele Engel befinden sich auf der Fassade von diesem Haus? Der Wert ist „C“.
• Haus Nr.6: Was muss mit Gott gelegt werden, damit das Glück einzieht? Die Anzahl der Buchstaben ergeben den Wert für “D“.
• Haus Nr.8: Wandle das erste Wort unter dem Dachvorsprung mittels Handy in Zahlen um und bilde die Summe für den Wert von „E“.
• Haus Nr.10: Wie viele Eulen sitzen im Blattwerk? Die Anzahl ist “F“.
• Haus Nr.12: Bilde die Summe aus den sichtbaren Zahlen des Datums auf der Gedenktafel. Der Wert ist „G“.
• Haus Nr.14: Zähle die Blumen bei den Engeln. Die Anzahl ist „H“.
• Haus Nr.16: Wie viele Menschen sind hier auf den Fresken abgebildet? Die Zahl ist „I“.
• Haus Nr.18: Wie viele goldene Baumstämmchen gibt es in der Eingangsetage? Deren Anzahl ist „J“.
• Haus Nr.20: Wie viele Vordächer hat die Fassadenfront? Die Anzahl ist „K“.
• Haus Nr.22: Wandle den Titel des Herrn Baumeister mit dem Handy in Zahlen um und bilde die Summe für den Wert „L“.

Brunn am Gebirge can be happy to hold a jewel of architecture of Art Nuveau. Starting in 1902 the architect Sepp Hubatsch (1873-1935) built in Brunn close to the border to Maria Enzersdorf a remarkable row of houses. Ten objects each dimensioned for two families have been realised.
Sepp Hubatsch was born in Siebenbürgen, he graduated the professional school in Vienna and studied in the University the Meisterklasse of a famous Viennese architect of Art Nuveau.
This famous architect was born on June 13th, 1841 in Vienna-Penzing and died on April 11th, 1918 in Vienna in cause of red murrain. Find out his full name, its needed for calculation later. If you want to be sure, the wanted architect is burried in the Hietzing graveyard (group13, grave131).
Sepp Hubatsch had a lifetime friendship with the wanted person.
In the year 1901 he married a pecunious lady of Maria Enzersdorf. They had seven children. To his residential building belonged expanse wineyards in Brunn am Gebirge as well. On one of these properties he financed and constructed ten row houses. The frontages show a multifaceted decoration, each frontage can be seen as an individal work of art. Balconies and oriels are playfully created in ease. Ornamental trees frame windows and total frontages. Golden banners, floral ornaments and figurative interpretations of angles structure the faces of the buildings. The design of the front doors is remarkable as well as the rich diversisty of Art Nuveau-design. In 1967 the site was designated as an listed monument.

• House No.16: How many humans can be seen on the alfresco? The number is “I”.
• House No.18: Count the golden tree trunks in the floor of the main entrance for “J”.
• House No.20: Find the number of porches for “K”.
• House No.22: Take the title of the “Baumeister” and transfer by mobile phone into numbers – sum them up and you get “L”.
