Geocache Description:

Ammo box near an abandoned railroad bridge over the Eno River. Seeing the cache does not count as a find. You must sign the log to get credit for a find. I have upped the diffculty to reflect that. Enjoy!

Actually it was not the L & N that once ran here. As far as I can tell, at first it was the Lynchburg and Durham, and later on it became part of the Norfolk and Western. But I don't know any songs about those. This bridge was built in 1903, and if you take time to look around, you'll notice that it looks like an earlier bridge in the same spot preceded this one.

The cache is on gamelands, so take the usual precautions. You may also encounter fishing muggles in season.

The parking coords are for a real parking lot that should work regardless of mud, road construction, whatever. But if you park in this lot, do be careful about traffic between there and the trailhead.
