Geocache Description:

The Vernon Tank now known as Sabin Hydropark, and back in the day, "Water Tank Park." There was never any actual sign that gave any indication of a name, I grew up in this area not far from this park, there were never any play structures or a community gardens just a home for the big green water tanks.

Residents who live near Sabin HydroPark, were excited to have seen these renovations take place and the transformation of the Vernon Facility into a thriving pocket HydroPark. Since fall 2008, the site has received a bit of a make-over...you might call it a "Cinderella Story!"

The new play structure was installed multiple slides, climbing options and rings, amongst other fun features. New fencing on the east side of the playground area.

The diseased trees have been removed from the north side of the property and the landscaping buffer zone between park and houses is evidentand this has been planed out but it is all still in the makings, additional landscaping pieces will be added and accessories such as picnic tables, benches, doggy bag stations and a drinking fountain are soon to come.

The south side landscaping of the existing Community Garden has been trimmed back in order to provide better site visibility and security and by adding Geo-Caching to this park maybe we can add some extra protection from the vandals who try to use these water towers as a canvas for their graffiti.

The Water Bureau approved a proposal by neighbors in which they will purchase a community art piece in the near future. The art will be placed on the north side of the property. The piece will be approved and installed by the Water Bureau.

Now that we have secured this park the alien can no longer phone home from this possible communication site...This is now an E.T FREE Zone..

Please use your best stealth techniques as it is not a muggle free zone you may feel hidden but at any time they may pass by and Please Enjoy Your Smilie!!!
