Geocache Description:

Near the fort at landguard. and next to the Nature Reserve well known for bird watching.
the terrain is good and is ok for buggies but there is a slope and shingle to negotiate

A round white container with enough room for a log book, pen and a few tiny swaps there is no room for TBs or coins.

This cache can be a quick cache and dash, or you can have a nice walk across landguard common and the Reserve.
There is also a parking area with views of the river and ships coming and going

The fort is well worth a look and is open from 10 am till 5-6 pm from the end of March till November 7 days a week. This is the site where in 1667 the Dutch were defeated by Captain Nathaniel Darell. You can visit the fort from both car parks. Also there is the Felixstowe museum next to the fort.
Dogs welcome in fort on a lead.
