This cache is at the top end of Ding and Dang canyons in the San Rafael Swell. I placed a cache here to bring attention to a unique geological feature called the Ding Dang Dome.
The point of this cache is to see Ding Dang Dome and enjoy hiking in Utah's slot canyons. The easiest way to prepare to get to this cache, is to Google Ding and Dang Cayons and you will find hike information. I have rated this cache as 5 in difficulty and 5 in Terrain because to get this cache will require scrambling over large choke stone bolders and hiking in dry sandy river bottoms for 4 or 5 hours. You will need good hiking shoes, pleanty of water, (you are in the desert) and some trail food. This cache is best visited in the Spring and Fall as during the summer you will have 100+ degrees Fahrenheit Temperatures. The Ding Dang hike Trailhead is about 1.25 miles past the Little Wild Horse Trailhead. Ding Dang Dome is about 269 degrees on a compass bearing at 400 meters from the cache. You can't miss it!
Additional Note: It has been brought to my attention by several Geocachers that the Behind the Reef ATV Trail passes close to this cache. If you decide to, you can also get to this cache on an ATV!
