Geocache Description:


My family used to go on drives around the county that the kids deemed pointless. They nicknamed them "Joy Rides." Now when I ask my husband to go geocaching with me or to go hide a new cache, he makes a snarky comment about it being a Joy Ride. This cache is dedicated to those drives that the kids and I endured.

This is a beautiful drive up Salmon Creek Road that will take you from Okanogan almost the whole way to Conconully. If you are headed one direction or the other and want to take a slow and scenic route, this way is for you. While many miles are dirt road, they are well maintained and fairly smooth. Keep an eye out for wildlife and for cattle. Be aware that in the fall, deer hunting does occur in this region.

My GPSr seemed to be bouncing all over the place...so I've left a substantial hint.
