Geocache Description:

The stamp is a handcarved AZ flag shaped like the state of AZ.

Multiple points of access can be found. You can aproach from the Canal side parking for the Hawes trail, or from one of the trail accesses in Las Sendas, or else park in Usery Pass, and follow the road up and over the mountain.

CARRY LOTS OF WATER, and watch out for cyclists, and other desert critters.

Daniel_boone's Recomendation: Bring a mountain bike, this is some of the finest single track desert trails you will ever find. You will not be disappointed!

As for the Letterbox.
The coords give you a starting location next to a telephone pole.

Proceed up the trail to the east til you get to the memorial. (stop and check it out, it is well made and has a cool poem)

At the memorial, take a bearing of true north, and proceed 200 feet to the cache location. (hint: using a GPS to project the bearing should make the find easier)

The cache is a Brightly painted ammo can, painted to resemble the Arizona flag. It was made in honor of our great state, and also in honor of the AZ Cacher's Far East Valley Earth Roamers (F.E.V.E.R.) crew.

Make sure to check out AZCachers.com for more details on the events and activities of this crew.
