It’s that time to gather again for a
World Wide Flash Mob event! Bookmark this cache to catch any update
as they are posted. The event is taking place at Elizabeth Park in
Bellingham.
This Flash Mob event is part of
a much larger effort by geocachers around the world. At 10:00 AM,
PST, other
World Wide Flash Mob (WWFM) events across the country and
around the world will occur. Come and be a part of this epic
event.
If you haven't participated in a
WWFM event before, you're in for a treat! We'll meet at the posted
coordinates and participate in a little kooky behavior for exactly
fifteen minutes, then promptly disassemble.
Who: Any and all geocachers, guests,
family members, friends, co-workers, and neighbors! Feel free to
bring anyone who has no idea what geocaching is regardless if you
don't have your own GPS. Lets show those muggles just how fun
geocachers are!!
The theme for our Flash Mob
will be "Zombie's in the park" so bring out your best PJ's,
boas, sleeping bags/blanket or whatever you sleep in but remember to
keep it hidden until you converge on GZ. We want to appear and
disappear as quickly as possible.
9:45 - 9:59 AM - Participants: Wait patiently and/or stroll around
the area. STAY AWAY from ground zero until the signal is given. As
much as you can, act like a Muggle, pretend not to know each other
or give any indication that something is about to happen. At 9:59AM
converge on ground zero. The Flash Mob Event has
begun.
10:00 AM - Log sheets will
be handed out for those who did not bring their own. Bring your own
writing instrument. Sign individual log sheets and drop them in the
collection box. These will also be used to draw the raffle
prizes.
10:02 AM- WWFM kisses will
be handed out. Share stories.Take pictures. Make arrangements to
meet elsewhere hopefully the WSGA CITO EVENT @
10:30AM
10:05 AM - Names will be
drawn for FTF and other prizes
10:10 AM - Flash mob
craziness! For 2 minutes we will all "take a nap" on the lawn,
leaned up against a tree, or whatever sleep pose you choose. Shhhhh
be vewy vewy quiet!
10:12 AM -Assemble for a
group photo, and assemble FAST. Listen to the photographer for
directions. Group photo is taken.
10:14 AM - One minute
warning is called "It is now 10:14!" Prepare to
leave.
10:15 AM EXACTLY- Wait
for it ... then LEAVE the area (right at 10:15 AM)! Meet elsewhere
if desired or join
the
WSGA CITO event planned at 10:30 AM at Maritime Heritage Park.
The log sheet bucket will be packed up. If your log’s not in the
