St. Michael's tower dates back to the 16th century and is the only part of the church remaining. This forms an imposing landmark on Pitsea Mount, and is still used as the venue for the parishes Easter sunrise service.
A concrete outline of the former church remains, and there is seating where fine views can still be enjoyed.
Near the cache site are the remains of the old bungalows that once stood here.
The cache has a log book but no pen so please bring one with you.
PLEASE REPLACE THE LOGBOOK IN THE ZIPLOCK BAG AS THIS KEEPS IT DRY !!
If any body would like to expand to this series please do, could you please let sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
