Stop resisting!
I was regaining consciousness, and only barely aware of my
surroundings. But I could hear that voice speaking to me, quietly
yet sternly.
Stop resisting!
I blinked my eyes. Once, twice, three times. The blurry image in
front of me began to come into focus.
Stop resisting!
I could now clearly see that I was in the presence of something
not from this world. I'm not sure which characteristic caused me
the most concern. Was it the green skin? Was it the violet
eyes?
Stop resisting!
Interesting! I could hear the words but the creature's face made
no movements. Was it speaking? Was I just hearing its thoughts?
You must stop resisting!!
I was becoming more aware. And my focus was drawn to the brown
leather straps that bound my wrists to the table I was laying upon.
Straps that I was unconsciously pulling against. I took a deep
breath and relaxed. Where was I? How did I get here?
You are still resisting!!
The memories started to come back to me. I had been sitting at
the computer, enjoying my evening cocktail of Grey Goose and Red
Bull. I had just started to construct a new puzzle cache, using an
idea that I had come up with out of the blue shortly after I began
caching. But I guess that "out of the blue" wasn't "out of the
blue" enough since I had seen other caches use the technique. So I
had started thinking about other ideas when.... And then I drew a
blank. I don't remember what had happened next...
I must insist that you stop resisting!!
I'm trying to relax, but those brown leather straps are starting
to dig in, and I think my hands are turning blue.
Others that came before you have resisted. Argynys The Great

and Lil Checkers resisted. You must not resist! Obey my
order!
There was a bright orange flash, and then...
Sunshine!! The bright yellow sun was beaming down on me,
seemingly suspended in the lovely blue sky. But where was I? What
had happened? Was it a dream? And then I noticed that I was
grasping a container tightly in my hand. It wasn't a dream. I
remembered the deep violet eyes of the alien. And I remembered his
order. I quickly placed the container in the closest hiding place I
could find, and then just as quickly I made my way home, even
driving through a red light in the process. That container is still
out there, somewhere. Locating it should be child's play. Just
don't resist.
