Geocache Description:

East Jersey Olde Towne is a collection of original, replica & reconstructed 18th & 19th century structures - representing typical architecture of central NJ farm & merchant communities.

While exploring this place and taking this Wherigo™ tour of the village, you'll likely pass by the commemorative plaque dedicated to the individuals who, in 1971, worked to incorporate Olde Towne and establish it as a place for continued learning & enjoyment for future generations.

Detailed information about the village can be obtained by following the link below. Here you can learn about the history of Olde Towne, the programs offered at the village & other useful things such as hours of operation & tour schedules.

The Founder Garden was also created in honor of the people who helped create this living piece of history for all of us to enjoy. The highlight of the Founders Garden is the sundial. When you're writing your logs on Geocaching.com & Wherigo.com, include a word or two about which part of Olde Towne YOU enjoyed the most. It's a great place to take lots of pictures too - so remember to include lots of images to go along with your logs.. I look forward to seeing them!

The Geocache container is an ammo box hidden in the nearby woods. It's stocked with varied trackable & trade items for your Geocaching pleasure.

Enjoy your stroll through the village.. good luck finding the cache.. and don't miss the opportunity to soak in some history while you're racking up your smiley!
