Geocache Description:

A micro placed in the heart of Gothenburg, at Kungsportsavenyn. A real walk-by cache. You can also go by; bike, tram, wheelchair, cab or whatever way you can think of, except for boats. Please be discrete and make sure it is firmly attached before you leave.

It was a early february morning when I came up with the "great" idea to try to take 50 caches in one day with only my own legs as transportation. The gear I planned to use except my own body was; a list of the caches in a good order, my iPhone to navigate, charger for the iPhone so that I could charge it on my lunch pit-stop and an extra pen if i should run into a cache lacking one.

I was so sure that I where to succeed that I created a tribute cache so that I could remember the day when i took 50 caches.

To the story is, that all that was left in the means of "power streaks" was some parts of Lunden and Strömmensberg and further up north in Kviberg. To the caching plan of the day I had to add Eriksberg to make it up to the stipulated 50.

Well... It started off nice and it was a great day for "some" running. I had great luck in my first searches but then came the snow. I worked all day and only stopped 40 minutes for lunch and charging at Maxigrillen in Strömmensberg (great kebab by the way and super friendly, letting me charge my exhausted iPhone). From 11 am to 7 pm I was out running, but with a steadily increasing snowfall I gave up in Kviberg, leaving me with a nice 6 km run before I got home. A grand total of 11 km (cache to cache) and I guess about 25 km running/walking all in all made this s a very nice caching day after all.

Truth be told I only managed 48 % of what I initially thought was possible, that would be 24 of the 50 caches I set out to logg. I sure hope that you enjoy this one more then I enjoyed geocaching when trying to log Bunkeberget a saturday night in heavy snowfall.

Have fun with this little one. And please see too that it is firmly in place before leaving it.

As the members of cave team always say: META MINARDIIIII!!!
