Geocache Description:

An interesting area in between the highway and suburbia where you can test your 4x4 or motorbike off-road skills. Beware, the route gets tricky very quickly! If you get stuck with the gradient, just try and get down to the bottom, there is an escape route if you go right down and then turn south towards Kloof Hospital.

I have surveyed the area over some time and unfortunately there are some informal settlers here and there. I have therefore placed the cache close to the top entrance, easy to access with any vehicle and not too far into the trails. But as usual in South Africa in the veld, please be vigilant and take care.

If you are brave and have good 4x4 experience (and have another 4x4 to assist), you can access the area from the bottom on the eastern side of the Wolwespruit river close to Kloof Hospital, in Keiskamma Street (S25 48.682 E28 15.907)

But I would rather recommend to take the top entrance (a dangerous entrance, especially when you exit - BE VERY CAREFUL when entering the traffic again) at S25 48.424 E28 16.235 and then go right where the road splits. The road to the left is full of rubble and rubbish and really spoils the visit, so don't approach from that side and please stop mentioning it in the logs! When you get close to the cache do a quick climb on foot and your vehicle should stay within sight. Enjoy the view, then either get out of there or continue on the trails, preferably with more than one 4x4 vehicle.
