Geocache Description:

This is a micro cache which I've placed to encourage you to explore the area of Downsland Green. Although this can easily be done as a cache-and-dash, it can be seen from maps, that there are many footpaths in this area, that can be joined together to make a circular walk .The cache is accessible from several grassy paths.

Why the "lost sole cache"? .Well just look at the picture and you will see why!!. This is what happened to my boot 1 mile into a 2 mile circular, so I had to walk across fields and down grassy lanes, really in just my sock!!. It was going to be called "The Kindred Spirit Cache" and in fact, this is what's still written on the top of the log sheet. The reason for this will be obvious when you see the container!. Anyone whose had children, or looks after children, will recognise the container, and know how to open it (without a hammer or copious amount of twisting, turning & frustration). I have put the opening method in the spoiler for those who haven't come across these containers before.

Once again please do take the time to turn this cache into a circular walk, and share your route in your logs ,there are lots of possibilities both short and long ,and it will be interesting to see the various combinations with your comments. There is one short circular of just a tad over 1 mile, that takes in a short section of the Essex way.

The parking spot is ideal for cache-and-dash, or for numerous circular walks.

You will need to bring your own pen or pencil as there's no room for one in cache. Thanks Kev

Congratulations on your First To Find Bundys
