Geocache Description:

This is the first of my finite mathematical series. I am a math teacher and thought what better way to educate the public through cache descriptions.

Some say one is the loneliest number. Others say it’s the perfect number. I do know it’s odd. It’s the only counting number that is neither prime nor composite (at least since the 20th century). It’s also the multiplicative identity, or as one of my professors says, “Anythang times 1 is anythang”. As an exponent it doesn’t change the value of a number. One raised to any power is still one. Plus anything raised to the zero power is 1. In Boolean algebra, 1 corresponds to true. It is also the first and second number in the Fibonacci sequence. And last, but not least, one and zero make up binary code which is what makes the computer (or the GPS) you’re reading this on tick. This one is for you 1.

This one is a medium lock-n-lock placed off highway 121 in little-known Marion Davis Park. Park is open between 7 AM to 9 PM

Please be very careful when retrieving and replacing this cache (you’ll understand when you find it). . Beware of muggles!.

Update 5.2.09: Replaced with a slightly bigger lock-n-lock. The new hide will keep the random passer by from seeing the cache. If you find this cache before I encourage you to hunt it again because the experience will be different, but that being said your original find will still count and you only get one find.
Please be aware of any muggles. I do not want this cache to disappear again and the only way that will happen is if someone sees you doing the deed.
