This is the fourth and last cache in a series of four caches located along a trail in Hemlock Overlook Regional Park. They are all placed in memory of my yorkie, Henree, who hiked this trail many times during his short life. The series is designed to get people out to enjoy this beautiful trail. It’s about a two mile loop along the water, over rocks, and some hills. These four caches will lead you right back to your car.
Start at the trail head located at dead end of Yates Ford Road in Clifton. There are several parking spaces there. The yellow trail will lead you (about a half a mile) down to the water. Turn right onto the blue trail (Bull Run/Occoquan Trail). Happy caching!
If you found #1-3, you are well on your way. To get to this cache, DO NOT cross the water (unless you want to find Harry’s Hideaway, but then cross back over). As you come to those stepping stones, TURN RIGHT and starting hiking up the hill.
You are almost back to your car, but there is still one more cache left! By now, you are climbing the hill to get to the parking lot. This cache is just off the horse trail.
