So to relive the excitement of the original
cache I have recreated it, but just a little different (of course)
but not better.

THE CONTAINER
My first intention was to find a miniture KEG that unscrewed and
the only ones I found were those new Bear Barrels (too expensive).
Then I tried to find a drink cooler that looked like a KEG and had
no luck. Then I tried to find anything that resembled a KEG and
failed. So the container might be on the boring side but there is
room for coins and small trackers.
HOW I CAME UP WITH THIS PUZZLE
During our troop meetings (No we were not drinking beer) my sister
would bring her Eight grade students work and sit at one of the
tables and correct them (No not the students - their work). Well
every now and then she would have neat ways for me to create
puzzles. This is an aftermath of one of those times. So blame
her.
I also always wanted to do a cache with KEG in it, Son My inittials
are KEG. I thought it was neat as he was growing up but now he is
in college. He really likes his initials, Now I'm thinking I did a
bad thing.
THE STORY and/or PUZZLE
When I was about 10 years old in 1970 my father use to take us to many
clubs in the area since he belonged to all of them. Elks, Moose,
Lions, Alpine, Knights of Columbus, etc, etc,...No not to drink,
but at their Christmas parties when we got Presents. Sometimes we
saw Santa 3 or 4 times in one afternoon. I thought it was weird
that he didn't know me and kept giving me presents but I was NOT
going to say anything.
On December 1st 1970 when we were there (now remember this was about...
Errr, lets just say over 30 years ago) the bar would still be open
and my father would buy draft beers for some of the men that came
in. For some reason I still remember some of their names. I thought
it was really strange when my father would ask when thier birthdays
were. I guess he wanted to say "Happy Birthday" but I never did
figure that part out. Depending on the mans birthday seemed to
determine if my dad bought them a draft beer.
Here are some of the names that I remember that my father bought a
huda beer for and for some strange reason I still remember their
birthdays. (Go figure, I can remember that but I have no idea where
I put my extra batteries for the GPSr????).
- Douglas Dimplestone 09-10-1947
- Mark Mayweather 07-21-1946
- Steve Scissorhands 05-24-1948 .
- Scott Seaturtle 12-14-1946
- Dick Donotfind 12-09-1947
- Marty Mugglefactor 04-24-1945
- Samuel Snowshoe 05-03-1946 .
- Sydney Sasparilla 12-14-1947
But for some reason he did not buy a beer for these guys, wish I
knew what they did wrong to cause my father not to buy them a beer.
I guess I will never know.

DO NOT
Please DO
NOT post anything in your logs about how to solve the puzzle or any
information regarding your search to solve.
Also please don't describe the hiding area, we don't want anyone
trying to use Brute Force (c) to find the cache, now do we?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
