The Dogs' Spot Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Tricky Vicky & Mickey: As Tom and Jerry are now moving away from this area and we, living in South Africa, are unable to maintain this cache, we have decided it is time to archive it. Many thanks to all those you visited it!

Geocache Description:

An easy cache near the Scottish Borders village of Lauder

This cache is placed near a small burn near the village of Lauder, just off the Southern Upland Way, if one was walking in the direction of Melrose.

Tom & Jerry live in Lauder in the Scottish Borders, and will be maintaining the cache for us.

It’s called the Dogs’ Spot because Tom & Jerry have three , who enjoy a drink and a swim here when out on their walks.

The dogs’ names are

abcde (as in Wilde)
fghijkl (as in chocolate manufacturer based near Birmingham)
mnopqr (as in an iconic American motorcycle)

The co-ordinates above are for parking, the cache itself being a gentle hike, which ought be completed within an hour. If you have dogs take them along.

The cache co-ordinates are N 55 hi.i7i and W 002 h6.0dn where the lower case letters need to be converted to the actual letters in the dogs’ names. Once the actual names are deciphered convert these letters to digits. This is done by the following method; A=1, B=2, C=3 etc.

Enjoy, and perhaps walk further along the Southern Upland Way through typical Borders countryside.
