CZ: V druhe polovine 19. stoleti se v dusledku rozvoje prumyslove
vyroby vetsina mest v nasi zemi dynamicky rozrustala. Bylo tomu tak
i v Sumperku, ktery mel v roce 1880 jiz 602 domu s 8 517 obyvateli,
nadrazi a radu textilnich tovaren.
Mesto potrebovalo ke svemu zivotu vodu a tehdejsi vodarensky system
roku 1880 o vystavbe noveho systemu zasobovani mesta vodou.
Stavba noveho vodovodu a vodarny byla mestskou radou schvalena 11.
cervna 1883.
Vodarka. Stavbu provedla firma Corthe a Comp. Praha, rizenim stavby
byl poveren J. Bayer a cely novy vodovodni system byl uveden do
provozu 1. prosince 1883.
Sumperkem, odkud je pekny vyhled do okoli a na letiste

EN: Most of the towns expanded rapidly in the
second half of the 19th century. This was also the case of Sumperk.
There were 602 houses with 8 517 inhabitants in the year 1880 in
Sumperk. The city needed water and the water system then became
insufficient, most of the houses had a water well nearby. As the
city expanded along Desna river and "Hrabesicky" brook, the quality
of water got worse. Therefore the town council decided to build a
new system of water supply. The construction of the water supply
was approved by the council on June 11, 1883 and the whole system
was put into operation on December 1, 1883.
The cache is placed on the "Water hill" above Sumperk (378 metres
above sea level). There is a nice view on the surroundings and
Sumperk airport.
