April 2008, hittades en enorm silverskatt av Alexander Granhof och hans farfar i området utanför Nöbbelövs kyrka i Lund. Alexander blev undervisad av sin farfar om slaget vid Lund, och dom gick runt i området och skulle se om dom hittade något från kriget. Då hittade Alexander några metallbitar i marken, som visade sig vara mynt. Dom kom tillbaka dagen efter och hittade ännu fler mynt, och anmälde då upptäckten. När arkeologerna kom dit, så hittades över 7000 st silvermynt i två st numera krossade krukor. Krukorna hade grävts ner i marken, fyllts med mynten. Sen la dom en tygbit över mynten, och täppte igen med lera. Mynten är från Erik Klippings tid (1259-1286) och Henrik III i england (1216-1272). Dom består mest av Borgarkrigsmynt med ganska låg silverhalt, förmodligen präglade i Lund. Sen fanns det engelska stirlings, Long cross pennies, samt några tyska och holländska mynt, några silverbitar samt ett smycke. För att läsa mer om skatten gå in på följande länk.

Silverado: (English) In april 2008, a huge silvertreasure was found by Alexander Granhof and his grandfather in the area around Nöbbelövs church in north of Lund, Sweden. Alexander was educated by his grandfather about the “Battle of Lund” with the Danish troops around 1676. They walked around the area too see if they could discover anything from the war, when Alexander found some metalpieces in the ground, that turned out to be silvercoins. They came back the day after, and found alot more silvercoins, so they reported the find. When the archaeologists arrived, they found more than 7000 silvercoins in two, nowadays, crossed clay pots. The clay pots had been burried into the ground, filled with the coins. Then they layed a piece of cloth on top before they sealed the pot with more clay. The coins are from the time around Erik Klipping (1259-1286) of Denmark, and Henry III (1216-1272) of England. Most of the coins last of “Borgarwarcoins” with low contents of silver, probably made in Lund. Then there were english Stirlings, Long cross pennies, some coins from Germany, Holland, some silverpieces and one piece of jewellery.
