You can cache and almost dash if you like.
A route that follows ancient trackways along the chalk ridges and wooded downland of Surrey and Kent through Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, grazing the southern edge of greater London and ending at the celebrated White Cliffs, with an optional loop via Canterbury. It was opened as a National Trail in 1978. For much of its length the Way parallels the old route known as the Pilgrim's Way between Winchester and Canterbury. Much of the traditional route of the Pilgrim's Way is now part of the modern road network and walkers wishing to follow it are advised to use the North Downs Way as an alternative.
I got the idea for this one after reading more about Cache U Nutter's 'Who do you think you are kidding Mr.Hitler?' GC1CAPD, although I haven't been down to find that one yet. Took some hunting to find this and at one point I thought it may have been hidden forever.
This is a fascinating place with a fantastic history, you can find out more about the Zero Station at Subterranea Britanica.
You're looking for a white snap and lock container that contained, when placed, the following:
log book
pen
Trolley token
LED torch
Lanyard
Euro
You only need to enter the first room to find the cache.
In keeping with Mr. Nutter's warning, you should probably go in pairs, you will definitely need a torch and may need a rope, especially if the rickety ladders are removed, if the ladders are removed the terrain should go up half a point or so.
The ladders are gone, so the difficulty and terrain are going to compensate.
If you don't like spiders I'd rate this as 5/5, they are everywhere and there are around 30 to 40 spider egg sacks hanging from the roof in the first room alone.
Lots of photos and no claiming a find unless you've been inside, please.
