Espeland Fangeleir, oppført i 1942 av serbiske krigsfanger, fungerte først som fangeleir for okkupasjonsmaktens motstandere. Leiren hadde plass for omlag 200 fanger fordelt på 8 brakker. Etter krigsoppgjøret ble leiren benyttet av norske myndigheter for norske landssvikere og tyske krigsforbrytere. Espeland Fangeleir ble avviklet i 1952, men er fortsatt intakt. I dag er det hovedsakelig Sivilforsvaret som disponerer leiren, men deler er også omgjort til krigsmuseum i regi av Stiftelsen Espeland Fangeleir. Dessverre er museet kun tilgjengelig på forespørsel. Sjekk link! Cache’en er en liten sylinder på ca. 1,5x5,0 cm, festet til en streng, med log og blyant som innhold.

Espeland Prisoners’ camp, built in 1942 by Serbian prisoners of war, was at first a prisoners’ camp where the occupying power (the Germans) placed its opponents. The camp could house app. 200 prisoners in 8 barracks. After the reckoning of the war, the camp was used by the Norwegian authorities as a camp for Norwegian traitors and German war criminals. Espeland Prisoners’ camp was phased out in 1952, but is still intact. Today it is mainly the Civil Defence that has the use of the camp. However, parts are established as a war museum by the Foundation Espeland Prisoners’ Camp. Unfortunately the museum is open only on request. Please check the link!
