Geocache Description:



Travel to the Goldwell Open Air Museum in Rhyolite, NV.

Sit Here is a sculpture by German artist Sophie Siegman that was initially commissioned as part of an artist residency at the Lied Discovery Children's Museum in Las Vegas. The piece was donated by the Children's Museum to the Goldwell Open Air Museum and has already become a visitor favorite with its wonderful view across the Amargosa Valley.

The cache is located under the back end of the sculpture. Please use caution and make sure to re-hide the cache well, so it will last a long time. There may be a lot of muggles around, depending on the day and time that you arrive.

While here, please have a look around the old ghost town and enjoy the other amazing art pieces located in the open air museum, as well as the abandoned city itself. This is a day-use only area, but there are no gates to stop you from visiting at night.

This is one of my favorite places in southern NV. It's a cool place to bring your visiting friends and family as well!
