Geocache Description:

PLEASE NOTE - This series will be archived on 31st August 2011 at the request of the National Trust, as they wish to place their own series of caches in these woods.

This is a series of caches hidden in Nymans Woods at Handcross, with the kind permission of the National Trust. There are 7 traditional caches, of varying sizes, and one bonus multi-cache. If you do the caches in numerical order, they will take you on a circular walk of about 2½ miles. Starting on the main road to the left of the Nymans Gardens main entrance, follow the public footpath down the valley as far as the big lake, then follow the orange arrows of the millennium walk back to the public footpath near where you started. The GPS signals are quite poor in parts of the woods, so I have given very specific additional hints. There is also another cache in these woods, GCNZ3C, which you could do at the same time.

These woods are used by lots of dog walkers and walking families, especially at weekends, so beware of many muggles if you come at a busy time. I would suggest that you park in the village, and not the NT car park, unless you are going to visit the café or gardens. The car park closes at 4pm in the winter. The walk and caches are available 24/7. Handcross is on a bus route, with a bus stop right by the start of the footpath.

The clue numbers for the bonus cache are written on the front pages of each traditional cache log book. There are no pencils in the micros.
