Compton is a small village home to the Watts Gallery. Locally is
the Losely Estate used for functions and events. This estate and
others locally would have been the few employers in the area.
oposite the cache you will see the old school, now a private house.
Parking for this is either the village hall, or one of the roads
off, (not the main road this is busy at all times.
There are now speed limits on this road, but the Compton
Straight as it is known was once used to test the police cars, from
the nearby police headquarters.
The footpath will take you to an interesting location, and home
to a number of Veteran Oak Trees. Please!! you only require a
simple search of the area, please be respectful.
Compton Common was once used by commoners, none now
remain.
