Chooo ooo – my 100th cache hide! I was wondering what to do for my 100th hide, when I decided to go back to where it all started! This cache is hidden very close to my first ever cache hide, which was hidden on 2 March 2002. Unfortunately, that cache was destroyed in the 2003 fires. This is a spectacular spot on the Murrumbidgee river! There is a lookout here, with great views over the entire Red Rocks Gorge.
WARNING: there are cliffs here – this is not a suitable place for Geokiddies. Be very careful, as there is very little fencing to stop you falling over. This area is frequently used by rock climbers and abseilers. If they are climbing/abseiling, you will probably not be able to get the cache without them noticing! So you may need to try at another time. This place has also been used for some canoeing in the rapids! All in all, a spectacular place.
