I stopped to take a picture of the old homestead and thought I would try to help break up the long drive on this highway. You are looking for a match case (changed out the nano on 3/16/09 with enough paper to last a good 20 years), should be real easy to find. According to Mr. Humphries, owner of the 7up7down ranch, the buildings you see were probably part of the old town of Progresso, NM. Legend has it that Progresso was the first county seat for Torrance County. The county courthouse was in a railroad car on a side track. When Progresso went into decline and Estancia became the largest town, some guys came down one night, hooked onto the railroad-car courthouse and moved it to Estancia. Watch for normal desert critters. Hope you enjoy.
