THIS CACHE IS NOT HIDDEN HERE ! - This is the penultimate stage to
the Flonopoly cache series 2009.
Welcome to FireLanterns-onopoly, or Flonopoly for short. A cache
series inspired by (but in no way associated with or endorsed by!)
the board game of a similar(ish) name. This series of caches will
take you to 28 locations around the streets of London, some well
known, some not so well known, but all of them made famous by that
great board name we all know and love.
The caches are all 35mm and magnetic, containing log book only,
so bring a pen. Within each cache you will also find a small
Flonopoly logo, with a number on the back. Take careful note of
this number (and make sure you get the logo the right way up - turn
it round, not upside down - don't mix up those 6's and 9's!) - as
you will need all of these if you want to go for Flonopoly - Jail
and ultimately Flonopoly - GO. If you make it all the way round
these London Streets, there will be a small Flonopoly reward as a
mark of respect for covering a lot of miles.
This is the JAIL Cache - second from last in the series, and
you'll need to do ALL 26 of the other Flonopoly cache's to get this
one, and ultimately Flonopoly GO - you'll also need to do THIS
cache, before GO - which is the last in the series. The cache is
NOT at the location shown in the above co-ordinates. Not too far
away, and on the site of one of London's oldest jails.
The cache position is as follows:
North 51°A B. C D E West 000° F G. H I J
Where the letters above equal the numbers in the following
caches: A = Fenchurch Street MINUS Bow Street B = Whitehall C =
Park Lane D = Marlborough Street E = Angel Islington
F = Euston Road G = Liverpool Street H = Old Kent Road I = Vine
Street J = Leicester Square
There are a further 2 numbers in the Jail cache - take note of
these, for the final leg to GO - somewhere NOT on the board ! if
you are planning to go to GO straight away, be warned, the coords
will take you quite a way from here, if you are planning to do Jail
and GO consecutively, allow plenty of time!
