Quelques caches pour vous faire connaître Saint Gaudens, sous-préfecture et capitale du Comminges.
Le circuit du Comminges a été créé en 1925 par Eugène Azémar, président du syndicat d’initiative de Saint-Gaudens et du Comminges.
Il a attiré de nombreux spectateurs pour des compétitions de toutes natures : courses cyclistes, courses motos, courses automobiles marquées par la Semaine Automobile du Comminges et du Grand Prix qui la clôture. Il a connu son âge d’or de 1925 à 1939.
La Première Guerre Mondiale a amené sa disparition. Un renouveau a été tenté : en 1947, 1948, 1952 et 1954, mais le circuit ne revit plus ensuite que pour des rétrospectives.
Au total, de 1925 à 1954 : 18 grands prix autos et 15 grands prix motos ont été organisés sur ce circuit.
Si vous êtes intéressés, il existe de nombreux sites sur Internet concernant le circuit. Vous pouvez toujours essayer celui-ci !

A few caches to show you Saint-Gaudens, a sub-prefecture and capital city of Comminges.
The Circuit of Comminges was created in 1925 by Eugène Azémar, president of the tourist information office of Saint-Gaudens and Comminges.
It attracted a lot of spectators for all sorts of competitions: cycle races, motorcycle races, motor races marked by the Comminges Motor Week and by the Grand Prix that ends it.
It knew its golden age from 1925 to 1939.
The First World War made it disappear. A renewal was attempted: in 1947, 1948, 1952 and 1954, but the circuit lived again later only for retrospectives.
Altogether, from 1925 to 1954: 18 motor grand prix and 15 motorcycle grand prix were organized on this circuit.
