Very remote area. Requires short hike over a ridge (el ~4500'), but cache is approx 3900'.
THE NUMBERS POSTED ARE NOT WGS-84. Cache is in a small box hidden from direct view. The cache contains a log book, pen, a Geocaching card, and a small goodie. Cache is located in very remote area and with no cell coverage, so do not recommend going in this area alone and you should carry water. The hike in can vary depending on how much clearence vehicle has and the experience of the driver. I stopped 1/2 mile from the cache site and hiked in. You may encounter wild burros or horses in this area, just give them a wide berth. This position is approximately 600 meters east of the "Approximate Boundary" line of the Naval Military Base as drawn on the USGS 15 minute Trona quad. The position of this cache has been cleared by the China Lake Police Dept (Navy) as being far enough away from their eastern boundary to be okay for placing a cache.
