Geocache Description:

... come out on the 14th instead!

30+ caches within a mile. Only about half of them traditionals.
Sounds like Davis (or Yuba City!). So, solve those puzzles, get ready for some multis, and ...

On March 14, join RCGDS for its monthly, second Saturday get-together, a potluck lunch/picnic at Community Park from noon to 3. We'll meet at Shade Arbor, right next to the Rainbow City playground.
Please bring:
1) Your own drinks
2) A potluck dish to share
There's a big grill right at this site, so that's definitely an option.
Please indicate what you intend to bring in a "will attend" note to cut down on multiples of the same dish. We'll start the charcoal for the grill around 11:45.

There's a wonderful playground adjacent to the picnic site, so this will be a great event for little ones! Dogs on leash are welcome! There's even an off-leash dog run right near the site.

This event will include a discussion about caching gear, not focusing on the GPSr, but on all the other stuff. Bring your good gear stories, as well as the gear. Revealing your super secret insights, tips, and tools is encouraged!

At the Februrary RCGDS event, Species5618 reminded me that 3/14 is Pi Day, so don't be surprised if there is at least one Pi-related cache released just prior to the event. (I couldn't wait on this one--I was laughing too hard!)

Update: a cacher from the Madrid, Spain geocaching society has organized folks around the world who are having events on 3/14, or "Pi Day." (See their note below dated 3/2--nice artwork!) Keep an eye out for a local traditional and a mystery cache related to the Madrid group's efforts.
