This cache offers a beautiful view of the Anchorage Bowl Area, as well as Mt McKinley, when the weather permits. Magnificent Sunsets also grace this area. The walk is short, but you will need to travel a short distance off the main trail.
The walk to this cache starts at the parking area off Basher Drive, a little past the Bivouac parking areas. Parking coordinates are listed below. From the parking area, it is a short walk up a hill, close to the powerline, on a well used trail. When you get near the cache you will need to get off the main trail and do a little bushwhacking. Probably the best route is to go past the cache on the main trail a hundred feet or so, then start your trek into the wilds.
Take your camera as the view is fantastic.
While you are in this area, it is just a short hike further to get A DRUID'S VIEW cache, GCTWRZ, placed by Oleruns.
Congratulations to Tundra Tim for his FTF!
