About SideTracked

We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy (cos there aren’t many motorways in Wales!). But what about public transport users? SideTracked Caches are intended to provide quick cache-and-dashes at train stations. They should be placed where it will not cause alarm, as in this day and age, public transport is under greater scrutiny than ever before.

For more information on SideTracked Caches, please visit the
SideTracked website.

Local information

The Village of King's Sutton (the place name means the King's south estate) lies at the southernmost tip of Northamptonshire and the border of Oxfordshire.

The village is most famous for its association with the legend of St Rumbold. King's Sutton was said to be the birth and death place of St Rumbold, an infant who during his short three-day life was said to have spoken holy words, declared himself a Christian and became baptised. The Church of St Peter and St Paul has evolved over the centuries, with the oldest part being the font, associated with the Baptism of St Rumbold in 662AD.

The village has some interesting features including:
A Bog Spring opened in 1749 - near the station behind the houses reached by a public footpath between the houses

St Rumbolds Well - found at the Chalton end of Astrop Road, this is a replica of the original monument in Astrop Park

The Church St Peter & Paul is famous for its 198ft spire built 1400 to 1450

Village Stocks - located on the edge of the village green

Cache information

There's no problem with parking if you have come by road but please don't block any gate/drive ways as this is a residential area. The cache is a short walk on a public path through a kissing gate. This path can be wet and muddy and the field you pass through has livestock in it.

You are looking for a 35mm case.

There is no pencil in the cache, so please bring your own
