Very good views at first stage close to the church including yet another great one of the Tor!

The current church, dedicated to All Saints, was rebuilt in 1855 by C E Giles although parts of the church date back to Norman Times. The church is situated next to Kingweston house which is now part of Millfield School. The church is built of local blue lias and Doulting stone and has an oak roof. The church was built to hold 120 worshipers which is roughly the current population of the village. The tower holds five bells.

The churchyard contains a very old Preachers Cross.Behind the cross is a large yew which is thought to have been planted about the time of the previous church in the Norman age.The church is at the tail of Leo in the Glastonbury Zodiac.

When you get to the co ordiates you will find a plaque. On this there are two dates. These are ABCD - EFGH.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
