Cette cache vous permettra d’en savoir plus sur la commune d’ Alan.
En partant d’Alan, vous trouverez la petite route sans nom que vous devez suivre à votre gauche, juste après la D13 descendant vers Bachas.
Garez vous à côté du chemin communal, que vous pourrez confondre avec le bord du champ, position :

Au début du 12e siècle, la terre d’Alan appartenait à l’évêque du Comminges et au seigneur de Benque. Cela resta vrai jusqu’à la Révolution.
Selon la tradition, les évêques aimaient se promener dans la campagne et c’est sur cette pierre qu’ils venaient se reposer tout en admirant la vue qui s’offrait à eux depuis cet éperon rocheux….
N’oubliez pas d’emporter des bottes car l’ endroit peut être boueux, ou en tout cas humide puisqu’il est couvert d’herbe. La Pierre de l’ Evêque et son trésor vous attendent en contrebas, à environ 350m de la route, sur votre gauche.
Il se peut que vous trouviez une clôture électrique sur le chemin : passez dessous sans la toucher, vous ne risquez rien.
Ne manquez pas la vue sur Alan depuis cet endroit !
Ne manquez pas non plus le Pic du Midi qui vous fait coucou derrière la colline ! (voir photos)
Plus généralement, par temps dégagé, la vue que l’on peut avoir sur les alentours (à votre droite) vaut la peine de s’arrêter…

From Alan, you will find the little unnamed road that you need to follow on your left, just after D13 going down to Bachas.
Park next to the common path, that you may mistake for the edge of the field, position :

At the beginning of the 12th century, Alan land belonged to the bishop of Comminges and to the Lord of Benque. That remained true until the Revolution.
According to tradition, the bishops liked walking in the countryside and they came to this stone to have a rest, while admiring the view they could enjoy from that crest….
Don’t forget to take boots with you because the place may happen to be muddy, or in any case wet since it’s covered with grass. The Stone of the Bishop and its treasure wait for you below, at about 350m from the road, on your left.
You may find an electrical fence across the path: walk under it without touching it, there is no risk.
Don’t miss the view on Alan from this place!
Don’t miss the Pic du Midi either: it says hello from behind the hill! (see pictures)
More generally, by clear weather, the view you can have on the surrounding area (on your right) is worth stopping….
