Geocache Description:

Once upon a time there was a mine at the end of this old road. I expect the shaft is higher up the creek judging from the cables, the old cable car and various other discarded equipment.

When I placed the cache I didn't have time to explore the creek, nor its fabulous waterfall. It would be a great spot to cool off in the summer but not on a chilly November afternoon!!

The GPS reception is not good due to the mountains to the South and the steep walls of the canyon (20 to 25%). You will know you have come to the right spot when you can see the end of the road and the waterfall and creek in the distance.

If you explore the area, please post some photos and share your adventures in your logs!

The cache is a lock & lock container. When placed it contained a bear bell, mini-bison tube and a geocaching pin, log book and pencil. Please trade fairly and ensure the lid is completely sealed. FTF may choose their prize!!
