Geocache Description:

A small lock-n-lock that will fit only small items. Placed with permission and assistance of the (former) pastor. Church staff, trustees, and current pastor are aware of the cache. It would be helpful if you could stick a note on your dashboard to note you are geocaching.

This is the first of a planned series of caches located at churches around Laurel. It will bring you to the memorial garden of First United Methodist Church of Laurel (FUMCL). "First Church" was built in 1884. For more information on the history of this church, check out the Waymark First United Methodist Church.

The cache is located at another Waymark, First UMC's Meditation Garden, an Eagle Scout project by Brandon Frazee of Troop 424 (Savage, MD). The focus of the area is a memorial to long-time trustee of First UMC, Jack Clark.

It is OK to use gate behind the church from the parking lot.

Another Waymark, Town Clock is just across the street.

Finally, I placed this cache on December 8, in honor of my son's 12th birthday.
