Oratorio di San Rocco.
A Porza, ove oggi fra il verde della collina sorge l’oratorio di San Rocco, in tempo antico doveva esistere una torre di segnalazione di origine romana, la quale era in collegamento con un’altra situata sul San Bernardo di Comano; questa, a sua volta, segnalava o riceveva da quella di Vaglio, detta di San Clemente e che poteva comunicare direttamente col sistema fortificato del Monte Ceneri.
Nel 1636 ci fu, nelle nostre terre, una terribile epidemia di peste. I vicini di Porza non trovarono di meglio che preparare dei lazzaretti nel pianoro che sta immediatamente sotto l'oratorio attuale. Perché l’oratorio di San Rocco? La peste del 1636 fu probabilmente l’ultima apparizione in forma epidemica del contagio, per cui si pensò di erigere in perenne ringraziamento e in ricordo un oratorio. L’epoca della costruzione risale fra gli anni 1653 e il 1684 (non vi è data sicura). Il nome Rocco fu posto in onore di San Rocco, invocato come protettore contro le pestilenze.
