Cache placed at 360 meters above sea level, in the center of Sollihøgda.
You may have traveled here so often that you don't notice the dramatic change in scenery when reaching this spot. Sollihøgda is where the landscapes relative to the Oslo fjord in the south meet the wilder, bigger interior of south Norway, with spectacular Holsfjorden in the foreground. The tiny community of Sollihøgda is also a popular destination in its own right, with bus services, plenty parking and easy access to the forests of Vestmarka and Krokskogen.
Highway E16 used to be a dangerous one to cross (it still is, so drivers beware), but the pedestrian bridge "Ringeriksporten" ("Gateway to Ringerike") has improved things quite a bit. Strangely, calling it "Osloporten" was never on the agenda...
The cache is a stealth black metal box, containing an elegant Chinese logbook, a Danish glass candy, a friendship pin, some micro tools, a moose coin and maybe a moose dropping, or maybe not.
