The Habsburg-empire's horse-substance has been decimated because of the lot of abortive war. The 18th-19th. century's warefare's prime mover were the horses. They needed to refresh this susbstance, so they had to set up a stud of the state that could reinstate these horse in their quality and their amount.
The reformer II. József accepted the advise of Captain József Csekonics: Deploy the empire's stud on the csanád-arad estate. In 1784 they started to create the stud, as "Császári és Királyi Ménesintézet".
The oat that was to feed the horses had been being kept here. Nowdays only few of them are still stand.
