This is one of a series of micro caches that are located on stretches of the original A24, in West Sussex, before they were bypassed by the modern stretches of dual carriageways. This cache is in the very pleasant hamlet of Dial Post and although, like some of the others, it can be done as a cache and dash it is nicer to park in the Hamlet and have a walk to the cache site while thinking of what it could have been like without the bypass to take all the traffic that uses the A24 these days. Maybe even spend a little time dining in The Crown.
