Shadowfax, the dog, and I were taking a walk by the reservoir when we heard an awful racket. It was crows, loads of crows in the trees with more and more arriving. We were surprised at how loud they were and what a ruckus such a large group could make.
Did you know a collective or group of crows is called a murder? I can understand why Alfred Hitchcock used the crows (and ravens and gulls) to dramatic advantage in his movie 'The Birds'. The noise was amazing.
So we thought we'd come back and plant a cache here to bring you into the area. Perhaps you will see a murder too.
The cache might be accessible from the top of the hill, we haven't tried that route. I suspect that would up the terrain rating a few stars! The better route is to walk down to the Calgary Canoe Club boat launch and along the waters edge to the cache.
