Geocache Description:

This is a micro cache (35mm Film Case) which contains only a log book at the time of publishing.

For this series of caches I thought a bird-related theme was in order, due to the abundant species in and around where the caches have been placed; lots of woodland, scrubland and open fields and hedgerows.

Those of you that have done my Owlbeech Ramble, or Something Fishy Going On series will know what to expect.

One of a series of caches to take you on a semi-circular wander through another of Horsham’s hidden treasures, the woods near Green Lane and Old Holbrook. The caches are all just off the footpath, and none are too far from the beaten path. Parking can be found at N 51° 05.327 W 000° 19.232 [Near a crossing of the A264] or you might be able to park at the top of Green Lane where it joins Langhurstwood Road. There is extensive tree cover in some places and GPSr reception may be very patchy!

The woodland scene is ever changing through the seasons providing year round interest. The woods and fields along this walk are used by lots of wildlife.

You will also pass by the clay pit whilst traversing Northlands copse.

When you get to the end, you can either reverse your travel or simply walk straight down Green Lane and Old Holbrook, or Langhurstwood Road to get back to the A264.

The series consists of caches ranging in size from Micro caches which contain nothing but a log book to Small/Medium caches which contain a log book, pencil, sharpener, pen and are able to contain geocoins, travel bugs and small/medium swaps.

You may require some stealth as this is an area used by children and dog walkers, so beware of muggles!

Please ensure that you put it back in exactly the same place and way and replace any camouflage used to ensure that it can't be seen, thanks!
