50 to 1 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

RubyHunter: Due to concerns from a fellow cacher and a few DNF's I went to check the cache this morning. Sadly, Mother Nature has seen fit to reclaim the cache site for her own uses. The cache may still be there but it would take some heavy equipment to retrieve it. Thanks to all those that found and enjoyed the cache and my apoligies to those who tried and failed through no fault of their own. I will bring it back but in another location so the fun can continue.

Geocache Description:

Those are your odds of being able to find and sign the log on your first attempt.

This roadbed runs along what was US 9, It was abandoned by the state in 1963 when the highway was relocated to where it is now. This roadway, which led to Saratoga and points north from Albany, is now just overgrown and forgotten.

It's best to approach this cache from the south. The property to the NE of the bridge is private property and is marked. Also, do not park along US 9 unless you want a ticket. Not to mention that the terrain rating would increase a bit.

Congrats to Richard E on the FTF, sorry 'bout the ticks. And thanks to dakboy for remembering what I forgot.
