Geocache Description:

I really didn't know what to call this cache. It was either "Big Tree on a Small Hill" or "The Throne" (which sounded a little more interesting).

We find ourselves at Capik Nature Preserve. Walking through in October was so nice with all the autumn colors. There have been at least five swans in the first lagoon lately.

The western side of the preserve, near the water treatment area, has much bigger trees (a forest) than the woods on the eastern side. Cache is about 4/10 mile from parking. You will be traveling on a wide trail until the last 140 feet, where you will then enter the forest. The trek to GZ is flat terrain until the last 20 feet, where you will come to a hill. I'm estimating it to be about a 30 degree incline. The best way to approach GZ is from the left side of the hill, where the incline is not as steep. Please be careful; I actually slipped and pulled a hamstring there!

The cache is a "small" and is starting out with a few trinkets and a geocoin.

My Garmin was bouncing around, I imagine due to the heavy tree cover. You shouldn't have a problem finding GZ though. It stares right at you from afar. I hope you enjoy Capik Nature Preserve!

Congratulations to Blitznmore on the FTF!
